New Products (Updated 19 Sept 09) This is the official XCR™ New Products web page. Do not believe postings you see on other forums unless they correspond to what you see here. We will keep you posted here and on our home page. If we are not working on something you want to see, please don't hesitate to email us at randd@robarm.com. We may not answer your questions immediately but we will read each comment. Our sales staff has been very busy since the elections. Please do not hound them on release dates for products that have not been added to our online ordering pages yet. We will try to keep this page updated with the latest information. XCR PDW (Updated 19 Sept 09) NEW!!! We will begin shipping complete PDWs and Kits in September 2009. We have decided to offer three different upper receivers that allow the user to configure the XCR™ to fit just about any need from Pistol to Full Length Rifle, all using the same XCR™ Lower Receiver. Warning!!! All NFA Rules Apply. Each of the upper receivers is of a different length and requires a gas tube and operating rod of corresponding length. We have named the upper receivers and their associated parts as follows: The "Standard Upper Receiver" is the 17" long upper receiver that we have been using since the beginning to build carbines, rifles, and SBRs with barrel lengths from 11" to 18.6". The "Mini Upper Receiver" is 15.25" long and can be used to build firearms with barrel lengths from 9" to 18.6". It is primarily used with barrels lengths from 9" to 10" The "Micro Upper Receiver" is 13.25" long and can be used to build firearms with barrel lengths from 7.5" to 18.6". It is primarily used to build XCR Pistols and XCR PDW Micros with barrel lengths from 7.5" to 8". Pictures showing the different upper receivers in different configurations follow:
XCR™ Standard 17" Upper Receiver with 5.56 16" Light Barrel and Folding Stock with 13" LOP.
XCR™ Mini 15.25" Upper Receiver with 5.56 9" Barrel and Folding Stock with 12" LOP.
XCR™ Micro 13.25" Upper Receiver with 5.56 7.5" Barrel and Folding Stock with 10" LOP. Though the pictures show the XCR™ in 5.56 Caliber. We have successfully tested and are making parts for the 6.8 and 7.62x39mm calibers also. The XCR™ PDW Micro is controllable and accurate even in 7.62x39mm!!!
XCR™ PDW Micro in 7.62x39mm with parts needed to convert to 5.56 and 6.8 shown also.
XCR PDW 5.56 Video XCR PDW 7.62x39 Video Beta Testers firing PDW Semi-Auto with New Fire Control Parts. Please send feedback on these two items to randd@robarm.com. XCR Pistol (19 Sep 09) New XCR Pistols Approved!!! We use the XCR Mini or Micro upper receivers to make XCR Pistols. We have received an approval letter from the BATF approving the sale of our XCR Pitsol with the sling plate attached to the back of standard XCR receiver. Click here for the BATF Letter. To stay NFA compliant, you need to know this: 1.
You cannot add as stock to an XCR pistol or a barrel less than 16"
long to an XCR Rifle, unless you have registered the receiver with
the NFA branch as as short barreled rifle (SBR). We will begin shipping XCR Pistols the end of September. Order yours now.
XCR Pistol built using the Micro Upper Receiver 5.56 7.5" barrel and no buttstock. Note: We are making a sling plate with a QD sling attachment point which bolts on in place of the stock. We'll post pictures of the sling plate in a few days. XCR-M .308 (Updated 10 Aug 09) This rifle is our highest priority item and at this time our major focus. It has been designed to use the SR-25/DPMS/C-Products .308 magazine. This rifle will be available shortly. We'll post here when they are available for order. Enhanced Trigger (updated 10 Aug 09) This trigger is two-stage with a 3.5 pound pull. We're calling it an "Enhanced Trigger" rather than a match trigger for several reasons. First, match triggers usually have very small tight control surfaces and/or small screws or springs that cannot hold up under tough use. Our Enhanced Trigger is a very light two-stage trigger that is very controllable whether shooting paper at a distance or at moving targets. We are taking orders for the Enhanced Trigger now. The parts consist of a a new trigger, hammer, and disconnect. They can be added to existing XCRs without modification to the rifle. Rifles with this trigger are shipping. Kit's to update existing rifles should be available in August or September. Ambidextrous Safety We have designed a new ambi-safety which is more paddle like and has a shorter arm. These have been ordered and will be arriving shortly. These parts are available for order on rifles now. Parts ordered to update rifles should be available in July. Buttstocks (updated 10 Aug 09) We have decided on a design. It is now being prototyped and ready to be put into production. We're in the process of having the parts bid. We will post pictures after we have issued orders for the parts. 6x45 Caliber (Updated 10 Aug 09). This is on hold temporarily. We're working on this caliber which is not new but is nevertheless very interesting. The idea behind this caliber is that one modify 5.56 brass and find projectiles from 70 grain to 107 grain. 6mm projectiles have great cross sectional density. The other neat thing about this caliber is that one can use 5.56 bolts and magazines. Corbon will be offering this ammunition. 6.5 Caliber (Updated 10 Aug 09) This project is on hold. We are going to try a new chamber to see if we can get the forces down. If we do, we can get the 6.5s going right away. Cross you fingers. M96 Expeditionary Rifle (Updated 10Aug09) We are considering making just over 100 M96 Recon Carbines beginning in the Fall of 2009. This will be the last of the M96s made. Do not trouble our sales staff with questions concerning this. They will be sold over the web only.
