Any M96 Rifle can be converted to the "Recon Carbine" with just a few new parts. The Recon Carbine Kit consists of a shorter chrome-lined barrel, a shorter gas tube, and a shorter all stainless steel operating rod assembly. The Recon kit also has our newest gas adjustment system. The weight of the Recon Carbine is 8.2 lbs.
