M96 TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Warning!!! You must read the Owner's Manual for the M96 carefully because it has many unique features not found on other rifles. Safety Selector and Dry Firing
If the M96 has been dry fired and the safety selector has been moved to the safe position indicated by the letter "S", the action cannot be manually cycled until the selector lever is moved to the fire position as indicated by the letter "F".
Efforts to manually cycle the M96 after dry firing with the selector in the safe position may damage the fire control components. Don't hammer on the charging handle!
