The M96 California Recon Carbine can be sold in California without a pistol grip. Don't ask us to sell you the pistol grip. It has all the other attributes of our M96 Recon Carbine except the pistol grip. This rifle scan be shot by holding the rifle by the stock and using the trigger finger (See the picture below).
In March of 2001, we sent a sample of the M96 without a pistol grip and with and without a pistol grip stud to the Department of Justice ("DOJ") of the State of California. The essence of the DOJ's response was that they would not state whether or not the rifle was legal in the State of California.
The M96 is not a listed firearm and, without the grip, does not have the characteristics prohibited in the State of California.
